“ Innovation is saying no to 1000 things .” – Steve Jobs
There’s something about a clean, open table that feels like a gentle whisper… “ Let’s start fresh .” That’s really what the Empty Table Principle is about. When we clear clutter, in our space or in our minds, we create room for ideas to flow. Steve Jobs worked this way while building the Mac… beginning with a blank whiteboard or an empty table so the team could think without old stuff getting in the way. The magic came not just from what they added… but from what they removed. In our own lives, our tables fill up fast… tasks, worries, decisions, half-finished things and suddenly everything feels heavier than it should. This principle reminds us that sometimes the best way forward is to pause, clear a little space, breathe, and start again. When we make that space… our minds feel lighter, ideas feel clearer, and we feel more ready than overwhelmed. Sometimes, space itself is the starting point. 🙂
